HICKORY — Teena Willis, housing coordinator for Mental Health Partners, which is the Local Management Entities for Catawba and Burke counties, expects an influx of homelessness when people are forced to leave their group home because of the change. Jails, hospitals and homeless shelters also will likely see an increase, she said.

Mental Health Partners will have a responsibility, along with social services, group homes and the individual, to help them find appropriate housing, she said.
