Annie Buelin of Surry County was too busy working for most of her life to keep up with the state legislature. But she does now. She wants one thing from that body and Gov. Bev Perdue: compensation for the physical and mental pain she incurred when the state forcibly sterilized her 59 years ago, when she was 13.
