When the state Department of Health and Human Services said it would no longer pay for a personal aide that a disabled man, Michael Jonathan McCrann Jr., had known for years, his parents sued the state.
The McCranns won. Now, the state Court of Appeals also has ruled in their favor – a decision that could have broad implications for the 9,500 disabled people who pay for care under a special Medicaid program.
