State eugenics task force asks survivors to come forward – Fayetteville Observer

RALEIGH – The North Carolina eugenics task force said it wants victims of the 45-year-long, state-mandated sterilization program to tell their stories and offer ideas about compensation.

The task force, which met Wednesday in Raleigh, was set up in March by Gov. Bev Perdue to find ways to compensate victims of the state’s eugenics program.
