A state judge has ruled that a mental hospital employee fired over allegations he choked a child should be reinstated to his job and paid back wages.

Ronald Williams, 50, worked as a health care technician at Central Regional Hospital in Butner until 2009, when he was dismissed after administrators said he was recorded by a security camera holding an adolescent patient in a “choke hold.”
