Funding for disability services could be altered |

Propelled by the state budget shortfall, a plan is being fast-tracked to significantly change the way behavioral health services are funded in North Carolina.

The move will be the biggest change for the system since the state enacted mental health reform in 2001. For those who have received developmental disability services through a Medicaid program, the proposal will alter their process that has been in place for decades.
