The Sampson Independent – ‘What About My Needs ’

There are four billion humans currently sharing this crust of earth. Some of these humans think the world is their oyster. These individuals carry an attitude of entitlement, sort of like a monarch or god. The rest of us are here to meet their needs.

This self-centered thinking is typical of many children and teens, but by adulthood we are supposed to have realized that we are one of many and others have rights, needs, and feelings too. By adulthood, we are not supposed to be so “self-ish.” We are expected to have developed some empathy and compassion, but amazingly some very intelligent people either just don’t care about anyone else’s needs or feelings, or they just don’t get it! They seem unable to recognize their self-centeredness
