Just as a coach benches an ineffective quarterback midway through a game, voters in North Carolina sent many Democrats to the bench in Tuesday’s midterm elections. For over a year, polls have shown that people are worried about the lethargic economy, think government is broken and are angry at leaders who are not fixing the problems.
