Elizabeth City police officers Tasered a man at Albemarle Hospital Sunday after he resisted officers’ attempts to restrain him.
According to Sgt. Wade Brite, the man, who reportedly is homeless, was under a 24-hour hold at Albemarle District Jail before being involuntarily committed to a mental health facility.
