ASHEVILLE — A South Carolina man who surrendered to police following a downtown standoff is free to leave town once he gets out of the hospital, authorities said.
No charges will be filed against Kenneth Eldimore Allison, 54, of Hilton Head Island, Capt. Daryl Fisher said Wednesday.
“We hope that he goes back home,” Fisher said. “His license is valid. He can stop by here, we’ll produce the paperwork and he can go pick up his car.”
