WASHINGTON — A North Carolina couple who have been lobbying for three years to help military family caregivers stood alongside President Barack Obama on Wednesday as he signed legislation for which they fought.
The Caregivers and Veterans Omnibus Health Services Act would give veterans with traumatic brain injuries more access to private care outside the Veterans Affairs system, increase care for female veterans, expand services for homeless veterans and provide more care in rural areas.
