HIGH POINT – With temperatures falling and possible snow in the forecast for this weekend, local shelters are gearing up for increased demand.
Open Door Ministries has seen tallies of people that number in the 60s in recent nights at its N. Centennial Street shelter, which can accommodate a total of 88 people by combining available space in its dormitory with temporary measures such as putting mattresses on floors when things get especially crowded.
