Henderson family seeks answers in shooting | Hendersonville Times-News

The family of a woman shot and killed by Henderson County deputies last week said their daughter was a lovable, respectful woman who enjoyed crafts and flowers. They described her as a sweet girl who didn’t own a gun and said they want answers and justice.

Elizabeth Ann Shipman, 42, of 121 Ladson Spring Trail, died after police say she pointed a weapon at authorities and neighbors. Sheriff Rick Davis said there was an obvious threat of a weapon, and his deputies responded appropriately to a deadly force situation.
