Hartford’s attorneys had argued that Hartford wasn’t fully responsible for his actions because he has a history of mental illness, drug addiction and trauma from an abusive childhood.

A Forsyth County jury rejected the idea that Timothy Hartford had diminished capacity and found him guilty yesterday of first-degree murder in the deaths of Bob Denning and Anne Magness in April 2008.
