Greensboro, NC– Investigators say on April 1, 2007 the body of Janet Rochell was found in her apartment. They say she had been strangled to death and there was no forced entry into her home at Garden Gate Apartments.

Howard Neumann with the Guilford County District Attorney’s office said that police charged Robert Andrew Fields for the murder weeks later. Neumann told WFMY New 2, that while Fields was being treated for mental health issues he brought up the crime and admitted to doing it and later gave police a full confession.
