Good intentions – Winston Salem Journal

Unless the state legislature takes corrective action when it convenes in May, another wave of problems related to mental-health care could roll in this summer when a new state law takes effect. The law has a good goal, that of professionalizing services in several categories. But it could cause small providers to go out of business, leaving patients and their families scrambling to find new providers in an already overburdened system.
