Durham city, county takes charge of homeless plan – NewsObserver.com

DURHAM — DURHAM — Durham’s city and county governments are taking over the 10-Year Plan to End Homelessness in Durham after ending their contract with a nonprofit agency.

The county’s Durham Center will take over primary management of the Plan, adopted in 2006. Several other functions previously handled by the Durham Affordable Housing Coalition, are moving to the city’s Community Development department.
