Teacher Jackie Bennett, suspended and then charged with assault last month after reportedly breaking a disruptive 5-year-old’s arm while subduing her, is back on the job at J.W. Coon Elementary School, working with children with mental and behavioral disabilities.
At this writing, his legal status is not known; but the Cumberland County school system has decided he’s capable of discharging his responsibilities in the classroom.
