At least 185 local behavioral-health clients are projected to receive services from a different provider beginning Jan. 1, according to CenterPoint Health Services.

Several dozen more clients could be caught in a clogged accreditation pipeline with their provider as an Oct. 31 deadline looms for completing the two-step process to become a Critical Access Behavioral Health Agency, or CABHA.

The 185 clients are now served by 28 providers in CenterPoint’s territory of Davie, Forsyth, Rockingham and Stokes counties, including at least 162 in Forsyth.
