RALEIGH – Spending cuts resulting from the state’s $4 billion deficit could be taking their toll on North Carolina’s. Those cuts could devastate the state’s mental health delivery system, advocates for the mentally ill say.
“They will lose their services; they will lose their health care,” said John Tote, executive director of the Mental Health Association of North Carolina. “They will die… It will have a tidal wave across the state, especially in rural areas.” – Read more here
