Retired trooper to start counseling foundation – Albemarle Courier Tribune

ASHEBORO — When A.W. “Pete” Waddell retired from the N.C. Highway Patrol on Oct. 21, he had known for some time what his second career would be — to continue his path of service to bring aid and healing to law enforcement personnel who suffer along with the victims when bad things happen.

His mission would be to establish a nonprofit foundation to provide counseling for law enforcement officers who have been involved in critical and traumatic situations. Story continues here ➤
