“My crimes had victims.”
Robbie Cunningham puts it bluntly. The 29-year-old from Bryson City was rescued from his life of crime long ago. And part of the credit goes to a program that, according to its supporters, saves taxpayers millions of dollars a year.
Cunnningham is a graduate of the Jackson Swain County Criminal Justice Partnership Program. The program operates from a grant from the Division of Community Corrections, part of the state Department of Corrections.
