Mental health system finally on a better course | CITIZEN-TIMES | Asheville

There was little surprise back in March when The National Alliance on Mental Illness released its report card grading states’ mental health systems, and North Carolina received an overall grade of D.
What surprise there was might have been that the state didn’t land a F.

However, thanks in large part to the efforts of two public servants with deep ties to Buncombe County, that grade could be improved come next year.
