HILLSBOROUGH — On April 20, 2006, Rafael Castillo stopped his son from shooting himself with a shotgun in their Hillsborough home.
Four months later, Alvaro Castillo, then 19, fatally shot his father with an assault rifle and later opened fire on a crowded patio at Orange High School.
