Homeless aid gets $1M boost – The Waynesville Mountaineer

Those on the cusp of losing their housing or in need of housing are one step closer to help.
Mountain Projects received word late last week that a grant for $1 million has been approved for Haywood and Jackson counties. The grant, Homeless Prevention and Rapid Rehousing, is funded by stimulus money and can provide rental assistance for those in danger of losing their housing.
