Handling mental patients in ER is forum topic – Winston-Salem Journal

For the second time in six weeks, CenterPoint Human Services is having a forum aimed at how to better handle mental patients in the emergency room. And for the second time, it has chosen to exclude from the forum local mental-health advocates and organizations, as well as the media. It will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Monday at the Forsyth County Jail.
