AMHC debt may cost area counties – News | DailyAdvance.com

Area counties could be on the hook for nearly $900,000 because of the mishandling of funds by Albemarle Mental Health Center, according to an estimate by Pasquotank County Manager Randy Keaton.

Keaton said Friday that Pasquotank’s share of AMHC’s debt could be up to $350,000. Camden’s share of the debt could be $83,300, while Currituck’s could be $207,300, Perquimans’ $108,300 and Chowan’s $125,000.
